The FattE Bike company of Denver, CO announced early today the successful launch of a fat tire electric bike into space.
The launch took place early in the morning of April 1st, 2022 from a private launch facility in Colorado. The electric cargo bike was designed and built in Colorado by FattE Bikes.
The launch, using new electric-assisted pedal and battery technology sent the electric bicycle into a solar orbit of 557 days. The bike follows electric vehicle Tesla’s launch of an electric car into space in 2018.
The bike is painted in candy green apple with custom-selected brown cruiser seats, and leather-style comfort grips, for a long-lasting comfort and style.
“The fat tire electric bike ‘Major T’ has really made the grade,” said FattE Bikers co-founder Victoria Brunner. “We are proud that a Colorado-built electric bike leads the way in providing accessible, healthy transportation, while helping reduce traffic congestion and air pollution throughout the universe."
Electric cargo bikes like the ‘Major T” launched are often used by families and individuals for local errands like shopping and transporting kids. Riders experience more fun, saving gas and having an easier time parking.
